GMB Collects Toys In Annual Toys For Tots Drive

At GMB, we believe we have a responsibility to give back to our local communities. That’s one of the reasons we’ve been collecting new toy donations for Toys for Tots since 2011.

GMB North America spent 4 weeks collecting toys, and our dedicated employees dropped off the donations to be packaged for children in need.

In 1947, a Marine named Bill Hendricks started Toys for Tots and collected 5,000 toys. The program has grown since, and businesses such as GMB can sign up each year to be official donation centers.

Because Toys for Tots runs their organization with extremely low overhead – less than 3% is spent on fundraising and overhead – donations go further. Monetary donations go toward “providing toys, books, and other gifts to less fortunate children” and toy donations go directly to the kids.
